The benefits include spa perks and access to exclusive areas. It’s important to consider location preferences when choosing a room. However, if you’re claustrophobic or prefer natural light, then Interior rooms with no windows may not be the best option for you. If you want more space and a view, you can opt for a Porthole or Window cabin, or even a Balcony cabin.
Additional Amenities and Services for 5 Person Rooms
I looked into these cabins before being persuaded on here to go with to adjoining connecting rooms. We ended up booking 2 rooms and I think it will be for the best. Our cabins were small but offered a lot of storage that made them feel more spacious. Our cabin seemed too cold, and the kids' space seemed too warm. Carnival Elation suite perks include priority check-in and debarkation; priority Main Dining Room time assignment; two large bottles of water; pillowtop mattresses, and bathrobes.
The kids' room had two twin beds and a sofa that converted into a third bed.
There are very few ocean view rooms on the Magic that aren’t deluxe. One is a regular cruise ship bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower. The other has a sink and a short, but deep tub that also has a shower. It also has a clothesline, which is a big help because the one in the other bathroom would not hold swimming suits for 5 people. When you have 5 people in a room this extra bathroom is a great feature.
Though we were on a Thanksgiving cruise, we decorated our stateroom doors for Christmas.
If you're looking for an inexpensive vacation option, the inside cabins on Carnival ships are more spacious than the inside cabins you'll find on the ships of some rival lines. Oceanview cabins on Carnival ships also can be larger than normal for the category. Balcony cabins on Carnival ships hold their own in size against most competitors. Just don't expect a huge number of suites when sailing with Carnival.
Add VIP check-in, a huge balcony, and even a convenient dressing area with vanity and you can begin to see just how extraordinarily comfy the entire experience can be. Spend a vacation aboard Carnival Paradise, and you'll find a little slice of cruise paradise at sea. Also accommodating two passengers, the Interior Upper/Lower stateroom utilizes a twin bed and either a pull-down or sofa bed. My uncle and one of my male cousins went to the spa to get ready while my aunt and female cousin got ready in the cabin. I think having a balcony cabin helps a lot - it gave us some extra room while we were getting ready for dinner, since we could send those who were ready first out to the balcony to wait for the rest of us. As someone who values freedom and flexibility, I was initially hesitant about booking an interior room.
Features & News
Some of Carnival's older and smaller ships allow trundle or rollaway beds to be added to standard inside, outside and balcony cabins that typically sleep four with two upper bunks. If you go this route, prepare for crowding and a lack of free floor space at night. Family Harbor, Grand and Captain's Suites also sleep five.
However, interior room benefits like Cloud 9 Spa or Havana Pool access are exclusive to their designated rooms. Some have spa-related perks or access to exclusive lounges and pools. Room decor varies, but noise level can be an issue due to proximity to ship’s activities. Overall, the size and bed configuration of Interior rooms provide a comfortable and budget-friendly option for those who prioritize activities over cabin amenities. From Cloud 9 Spa access to exclusive pool areas, there’s a lot to consider when booking an interior room. So, if you’re curious about what to expect from Carnival’s interior rooms, keep reading to learn more.

There was a public bathroom a few decks up the nearest stairway which came in handy sometimes. Having an extra place to shower or bathe a kid definitely helped when everyone came back from waterslides or the beach to get ready for dinner around the same time. When it comes to room amenities, the Interior Rooms come equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a private bathroom, flat-screen TV, and plenty of storage space.

Or just spend time on your balcony — you’ve got one of our most spacious rooms. When it comes to staterooms, one size only fits some. That's why we've got enough variety to satisfy any type of fun seeker. Wrap up a full day of Carnival fun… and you're gonna need a good night's sleep. Your not going to save enough money for the aggravation it will cause with such a small living space with that many adults. My sister had 3 adults in her cabin on the Paradise and it was very tight situation.
But like others have said there's no room on the floor. I would not want to be near your cabin if you plan on playing in the hallway with your 2 y/o nephew while the others shower/get ready. We are doing 5 in a cabin this January on the Triumph, we are never in our cabin so not to concerned. Plus, I have a 2 y/o nephew coming with us, so we just take turns playing in the hallway with him while the others shower/get ready and it works out well.
Two standard cabins would most likely be cheaper than one suite. We have done 5 in an inside cabinseveral times and had no problems. I'm debating whether we should go during the July 4th week.
Since those 5 have never cruised, and the children are all under 8, I suspect the parents would rather all be crammed in one cabin. I knew that Fantasy Class ships could accommodate 5 in a room, but I did not realize there were other ships with that possibility. By considering these tips, you can increase the chances of securing the perfect 5 person room for your group and enjoy a memorable and comfortable cruise vacation.
Note that on some Carnival ships, specific categories of balcony cabins have larger balconies than most. These are wonderful for sitting out and watching the waves. Often these rooms are at the back of the ships overlooking the wake. Note that Carnival's two oldest ships — those that are part of the 1990s-built Fantasy Class — have relatively few balcony cabins by today's standards. With that, we have covered the tips for booking 5 person rooms on cruise ships. It’s important to note that the availability of these amenities and services can vary depending on the cruise line, ship, and itinerary.

Every flat surface was always covered in stuff, but then again if there’s a flat surface anywhere at home it doesn’t take my husband long to pile stuff on it there either. It also had several drawers and the nightstands open up into little cupboards. We did ask the steward for some extra hangers and that definitely helped. For even more outdoor space, book an aft-view extended balcony stateroom, which features panoramic views from the back of Elation. Aft-View Extended Balcony cabins can be found on decks 6 and 7.
Every one of the suites in those categories is bigger than any suite found on Carnival Panorama. The Presidential Suites are among 180 suites you will find on Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration, the most ever for a Carnival ship. One exception is the new Carnival Venezia, which has a darker (faux) wood finish to furniture in cabins that ties into the ship's Italy theme. Also, if you're flying to your cruise, vacation-week airfare to popular cruise ports will become more expensive the longer you wait to book.
While Junior Suites have bathrooms with showers, the remaining suite types have bathrooms with bathtub/shower combinations. When staying in a cruise ship cabin with 5 people in it, things will get messy. We made sure to pick up everything off the floor twice a day before leaving the room when it was near time for the steward to clean.
